Combining air quality and economics expertise to inform climate change policy
Our approach to addressing the problem of climate change combines scientific research and analytical methodologies. On behalf of government agencies and other clients, we study greenhouse gas emissions and assist with data gathering and analysis, mitigation and adaptation strategies, report writing, and regulatory development. We also have supported development and implementation of U.S. EPA’s Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program, and leverage our knowledge of the program to prepare greenhouse gas inventories for public and private-sector clients.
In the field of environmental economics, we help inform policy using narratives and numbers shaped by economic decision analysis tools. Using economic impact analysis, we work with clients to measure the value of climate policy benefits and costs, communicate the pros and cons of various policies to the public, and discover and quantify unintended benefits and costs of climate policies.
