Bruce Corbet currently serves as the Chief of Party for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Papua New Guinea Electrification Partnership (USAID-PEP) Activity and is responsible for overall management of this landmark USAID project in Papua New Guinea (PNG), a 5-year partnership with the Government of PNG to advance the country’s journey to self-reliance by contributing significantly to achieving the goal of connecting 70% of PNG’s population to electricity by 2030.

Mr. Corbet has more than 30 years of of technical, commercial, operational, and leadership experience in the international development, energy, utilities, mining, oil and gas, and supply chain industries, including more than 10 years’ board experience.

Prior to joining RTI, he was Manager, On-Grid Electrification for the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Economic and Social Infrastructure Program in PNG and spent two years on the executive team of the national power utility, PNG Power Limited.

Mr. Corbet is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) with an Order of Merit. He has lived and worked in Canada, Australia, and PNG and has business experience on six continents.
