Number of Box Files:
As indicated in the RFP, the estimated number of box files containing financial documents for FY 2026 (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026) is approximately 140–160 box files.
These include all payment vouchers, income records, and journal entries.
Total Income and Expenses for FY 2026:
The fiscal year has not yet concluded; therefore, most figures are estimates.
The projected total expenditure for FY 2026 is approximately ETB 1.3 billion, subject to change based on expenditures incurred during the remaining period and any necessary adjustments.
In most cases, total income is expected to be broadly aligned with total expenses.
Total Fixed Assets and Total Assets:
The estimated total fixed assets (Property, Plant, and Equipment) as of June 30, 2026, are approximately ETB 90 million, subject to changes due to additions, disposals, and depreciation.
The estimated total asset balance as of June 30, 2026, is approximately ETB 170 million, subject to variation depending on changes in fixed assets and receivables during the remaining period.
Estimated Total Liability:
The estimated total liabilities are approximately ETB 550 million, subject to change based on transactions during the remaining period. And subject to change current liabilities such as withholding tax, pension obligations, and income tax as of June 30, 2026.
Accounting System and Basis of Financial Reporting:
RTI uses QuickBooks (QB) as its accounting system. Each project (projects mentioned in the advertisement) maintains a separate QuickBooks file.
At year-end, these are consolidated into a single financial report.
The financial statements are prepared in accordance with International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).
Number of Branches, Place of Work, Expected Travel:
RTI’s main office is located in Addis Ababa (Flamingo area), and it implements U.S. government-funded projects.
As noted in the RFP, all financial documents are maintained at the Addis Ababa office.
No fieldwork or travel outside Addis Ababa is expected for the audit..
Specific Areas of Concern / Risks Identified by Management:
At this stage of the audit procurement process, there are no significant concerns or risks identified by management.
RTI is registered as an international NGO in Ethiopia and maintains strong compliance practices.
The organization was recognized as a reliable taxpayer by the Ministry of Revenue in FY 2025.
Expectations for Capacity Building Support:
At this stage, RTI is seeking audit services only.
