Susan Werner Orrin has over 20 years of experience working in early childhood care and education in the U.S. and across the globe. At RTI, she advises on technical approaches to international early childhood programming; conducts research on a range of topics related to young children, families, caregivers, and settings that support young children; and guides and implements RTI’s strategic vision in the field of international early childhood development.
She comes to RTI after working with several international development organizations including USAID where she was an Education Foreign Service Officer and Chemonics International with a focus on development work in Africa and the Caribbean. Susan has worked extensively with early childhood education systems and programming in the Middle East and in the South Pacific where she lectured in early childhood teacher education and led the Development and Learning Studies Department.
