Kayla M. Siler is a research education analyst with RTI’s Education and Workforce Development division. Ms. Siler has held a variety of analyst and project management positions with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, where she has helped reform standards, transition to online assessments, revise the state accountability model and implement a statewide instructional improvement system.
Ms. Siler is currently working with the Johnston County Public School system to engage the district in a strategic planning process in support of implementing a competency-based education approach. She is also involved with the Southeast Regional Education Laboratory (REL) Alliance for Measuring Success through Competency-Based Learning.
