Jeff Laufenberg is a research statistician and business development manager in the Center for Data Science (CDS). As a statistician on complex survey projects, he coordinates the activities of data management staff, conducts power analyses, constructs design-consistent analysis weights, performs statistical imputation, and programs for data processing, management, quality control, reporting, and visualization. In his business development role, Jeff interacts with potential partners, subcontractors, and prospective customers from a variety of industries, and supports technical staff in his division by providing consultation on strategic planning, pipeline development, capture and proposal efforts, and financial reporting and tracking. Prior to joining RTI, he worked in software development and support in the health care, educational multimedia, and mortgage banking industries.
Jeff holds an MBA in Finance from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from DePaul University. He did his undergraduate work at Duke as well, where he majored in English and Creative Writing.
