Christina Stearns specializes in collecting, analyzing, and reporting on education data to provide actionable information to a wide variety of stakeholders. She has extensive experience in conducting program evaluations and research to improve educational outcomes for disadvantaged populations, including youth in the child welfare system.
Her recent projects include quantitative analysis and reporting on foster youth outcomes in postsecondary education in California and an implementation evaluation of the BELL summer program in Greenville, South Carolina. She is also currently working on an evaluation of the Stevens Initiative, a multilateral public-private partnership that funds virtual exchange programs between youth in the United States and the Middle East/North Africa.
Ms. Stearns has a diverse academic and professional background that includes working as an attorney, researcher, and teacher. She joined RTI in 2013 after two years with Latham & Watkins, a San Francisco law firm. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the State Bar of California, and is proficient in French.
