Burton Levine is a survey statistics expert in our Division for Statistical and Data Sciences. He oversees sampling design tasks for dual frame telephone, address-based sample, list sample, and online panel surveys. He has done extensive research on sampling methodologies, including finding ways to use inbound calls for telephone surveys.
Since joining RTI in 1999, Mr. Levine has been involved in numerous surveys and other projects related to public health and safety. Currently, he is contributing to our evaluations of tobacco surveillance programs for the states of New York and Florida. He designs and weights multiple surveys to measure the progress of each state’s tobacco control efforts.
Mr. Levine’s background also includes organic farming and teaching sixth through 12th grade math in public schools. He is a member of the American Association for Public Opinion Research and the American Statistical Association.
