Wayne Winstead

Wayne Winstead is an expert in proficiency testing with bulk asbestos, airborne asbestos, beryllium, lead and other metals, silica, and organics. Currently, he serves as the program manager for three proficiency testing programs—bulk asbestos, airborne asbestos, and beryllium. RTI ships thousands of samples annually to laboratories in the United States and around the world for proficiency testing.  The opportunities for laboratories to compare their analysis results with experts in the field and with other laboratories ultimately improves the quality of laboratories and benefits public health for everyone.

Mr. Winstead has extensive experience in project management, data analysis and data processing with MS Excel. Prior to his current role, he provided data analysis for a variety of laboratory analysis projects. Mr. Winstead’s research has been published in multiple medias, including the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene.
