Stephen Brown has more than 11 years of research experience in health IT-related projects. Mr. Brown has extensive experience synthesizing input from stakeholders and system users to optimize practical applications of health IT. He has also practiced human-centered design and usability testing of public health web tools and is a LUMA-certified human-centered design practitioner.  

Mr. Brown has worked on numerous implementation evaluations, practicing the CFIR-PR framework, and using a variety of qualitative research software systems to conduct qualitative analysis and research. He has worked with state and county public health agencies and has graduate training in health informatics and public health informatics. Mr. Brown has also managed large health IT projects and provided technical assistance for health IT applications. 

His research interests include human-centered design, usability testing, public health informatics, evaluation, and health information exchange.
