Rajiv Tandon

Rajiv Tandon is an expert in public health and currently serves as the Director of RTI International India’s Health Program. He is a thought leader for various areas like reproductive, maternal, newborn, child health and nutrition, neglected tropical diseases, malaria, and health systems strengthening, especially pertaining to the South Asia regional level. He leads the development of various value propositions, technical approaches, strategies, and tools for evidence-based, sustainable, cost-effective operational models, ensuring quality, equity and dignity and health financing reforms.

Dr. Tandon is proactively engaged in health policy reforms at global, regional, national, and subnational levels, advocating for systems approaches and working at scale. He serves as a senior representative for engaging with government systems and programs, supporting large-scale program planning and monitoring. He has developed key institutional collaborations through strategic partnerships and memoranda of understanding with the government at national and state levels in India, India Alliance, UNICEF, WISH Foundation, McGill University, KLE University, among others. He leads organizational development as a part of the Senior Leadership Team by contributing to high-level business development initiatives through engaging with clients: global, regional, central and state governments; multilateral/bilateral donor agencies; and international and national academia, professional associations, and private sector organizations and foundations.
