Mr. Kapusana has 27 years of experience in the water and sanitation sector in Zambia. He currently supports the USAID Expanding Water and Sanitation Project, which is working to improve WASH services, increase private sector engagement in service delivery, and improve accountability between citizens, service providers, and policymakers, all with the aim of sustaining reliable, high-quality WASH services in Zambia.
As a Service Delivery Lead, Mr. Kapusana serves as the main point of contact for the three participating Water Utilities, the National Water and Sanitation Regulator, and the Ministry of Water Development and Sanitation in developing strategies to improve WASH services.
Prior to joining RTI, Mr. Kapusana worked as a WASH Sector Consultant, providing recommendations after the assessment of GIS operations and data use for 11 Water Utilities in Zambia. Additionally, he undertook a detailed GIS Mapping in five towns.
Mr. Kapusana also worked as a Chief Executive Officer, Director, and Manager within Zambia’s Water Utilities, where he oversaw operations and WASH infrastructure improvement projects funded by the government, the World Bank, the African Development Bank, and other cooperating partners.
