Mitch Rakusin

Mitch Rakusin has worked at the intersection of results-based management, data and information systems, and education development for over 15 years, supporting and leading projects and proposals in a variety of technical leadership roles.  

Mr. Rakusin is a skilled project manager and expert in monitoring and evaluation of USAID projects. He has a successful track record working closely with government counterparts in politically sensitive environments, leading education sector assessments, large-scale survey research initiatives, collaborative learning and adaptation processes, and education management information systems (EMIS) interventions.  He has published and presented on topics ranging from school leadership, classroom-based assessment, enhancing education sector planning and budgeting processes, and strategies to promote data for decision-making, decentralized governance, and accountability.  

Mr. Rakusin has lived and worked in over 20 countries, including in South and East Asia, the Middle East and North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa. He is a member of the Comparative International Education Society.
