Jamie Vought is a research education analyst in the RTI Center for Education Services. She collaborates with professional development providers to engage educators, families, and students and ignite a passion for STEM learning. Ms. Vought believes that everyone is born with a sense of curiosity and wonder, which drives creativity, passion, and ingenuity. She supports partnering organizations in providing equitable STEM experiences that allow children and adults to pursue their passions, utilize their talents, and tackle real world problems. 

Ms. Vought serves as Program Manager for the Defense STEM Education Consortium. (DSEC), strategically guiding consortium members to effectively reach consortium goals. DSEC is a collaborative partnership that aims to broaden STEM literacy and develop a diverse and agile workforce with the technical excellence to defend our nation. By addressing and prioritizing critical STEM challenges, the Department of Defense is investing in evidence-based approaches to inspire and develop the next generation of scientists and engineers.

Ms. Vought is a certified teacher and former Senior Director of Professional Learning with Arizona Science Center with over 20 years of experience teaching and coaching in PreK-12 and nonprofit settings. She holds a M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Instructional Technology from McDaniel College and a B.S. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Bloomsburg University.
