Chunyang Jin, Ph.D., has more than 10 years of experience in synthetic organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry. His current work involves developing in vivo probes for study of orphan G-protein-coupled receptors and protein-protein interactions.

Dr. Jin’s synthetic chemistry background includes multistep organic synthesis, asymmetric synthesis, oligonucleotide and peptide synthesis, sulfone chemistry, steroid chemistry, and tropane and morphine alkaloids chemistry.

Dr. Jin has conducted medicinal chemistry lead optimization campaigns for a variety of biological ligands and receptors including biogenic amine transporters, opioid receptors, GPR88, and glycine receptors. Dr. Jin also helps manage the operations of the National Institute for Mental Health Chemical Synthesis and Drug Supply Program.
