Chunyang Jin, PhD, has more than 15 years of experience in synthetic organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry. He leads a program on the development of medications for CNS disorders targeting G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs).
Dr. Jin has conducted medicinal chemistry lead optimization campaigns for a variety of biological ligands and receptors. His current research focuses on the development of small-molecule probes for the study of GPCRs, including the orphan receptor GPR88 and neuropeptide receptor RXFP3. Dr. Jin’s research is supported by funding from the National Institute of Mental Health and the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.
Dr. Jin has published more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and presented at many national meetings. He is an active member of the Society for Neuroscience, American Chemical Society, and Research Society on Alcoholism.
