Casey Murphy is a senior project manager with more than seven years of experience supporting economic growth, market systems, and resilience projects in low- and middle-income countries for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and other international donors. She is skilled at designing and managing private sector partnership funds that drive sustainable economic growth and increase incomes. She combines operational expertise and technical understanding to manage partnerships with a diverse set of stakeholders, from large U.S.-based consulting firms to local research firms to farmer cooperatives.
Ms. Murphy currently provides technical and management support to the Feed the Future Rwanda Kungahara Wagura Amasoko project, which is assisting Rwanda’s progress toward self-reliance through increased export of high-value agricultural products. She previously provided management support to the Feed the Future Kenya Crops and Dairy Market Systems Activity, which works to reduce hunger, malnutrition, and poverty in Kenya through inclusive agriculture-led growth and private sector partnerships.
Ms. Murphy also supports business development and proposal activities focused on economic growth, with responsibility for designing technical approaches and management structures, engaging with local partners, and overseeing multimillion-dollar budgets. Prior to joining RTI in 2018, Ms. Murphy held a range of positions supporting USAID projects focused on climate change and supply chain management.
