The RTI Global Gender Center works to eliminate inequality and disparity
Gender inequality is a global problem. No one should experience bias because of gender, especially when it comes to health, education, economic development, and political participation. Dedicated to ending gender disparities and inequalities, we formed the RTI Global Gender Center specifically to address these issues.
Since 2007, we have worked in over 75 countries to implement more than 600 gender-related projects. Working on behalf of government agencies, foundations, and donor organizations, we conduct culturally sensitive and socially relevant research in the United States, Latin America, Africa, Asia and the Pacific, and Europe.
Our center is made up of nearly 300 affiliates working across RTI’s many practice areas, including experts from local and global external organizations. This community of passionate individuals brings an extensive range of skills and expertise from all subject areas to work toward a world of gender equality.
We work with a wide range of groups, including
- Vulnerable women, girls, and adolescents
- Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT+) community
- Sex workers
- Couples
- Boys and men of color
- Substance users.
Our work extends across all areas of gender disparity.
