The RTI Global Gender Center works to eliminate inequality and disparity
Gender inequality is a global problem. No one should experience bias because of gender, especially when it comes to health, education, economic development, and political participation. Dedicated to ending gender disparities and inequalities, we formed the RTI Global Gender Center specifically to address these issues.
Since 2007, we have worked in over 82 countries to implement more than 1,000 gender-related projects. Working on behalf of government agencies, foundations, and donor organizations, we conduct culturally sensitive and socially relevant research in the United States, Latin America, Africa, Asia and the Pacific, and Europe.
Our center is made up of over 500 affiliates working across RTI’s many practice areas, including experts from local and global external organizations. This community of passionate individuals brings an extensive range of skills and expertise from all subject areas to work toward a world of gender equality.
We work with a wide range of groups, including
- Key populations of women, girls, and adolescents
- Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA+) communities
- Individuals who conduct sex work
- Couples
- Boys and men of color
- People who use substances
- People living with HIV
Our work extends across all areas of gender disparity.
