Mustapha Soukri, PhD, has more than 15 years of experience in research and development in an industrial environment, relying on deep cross-disciplinary knowledge and scientific leadership skills. As a project manager in the Energy Technology Division, he has the ability to interface organic chemistry and materials development and has an intimate understanding of end-use applications for various technologies.
Currently, Dr. Soukri’s work focuses on the development of novel and applied materials for energy applications, including sorbent materials development for carbon dioxide capture technology, particularly solid sorbent materials. He is also conducting research into non-aqueous solvents, including formulation, synthesis, characterization, and evaluation. His research interests also include biomass conversion to liquid fuels, chemicals, pharmaceutical products, plastics, and other essentials of modern life.
