Jamie Friedman has more than 25 years’ experience in survey research methodology, data collection, and survey management for postsecondary surveys. As a survey director at RTI International, Ms. Friedman manages large-scale data collection, supervises field and phone interviewers, coordinates institutional contacting, oversees budgets, and performs other management responsibilities.

Ms. Friedman’s expertise lies in recruiting institutions and ensuring high response rates. For the past 13 years, she has managed several data-collection efforts for the National Science Foundation (NSF), including the Survey of Graduate Students and Postdoctorates in Science and Engineering (GSS) and the Survey of Earned Doctorates (SED) for the Doctorate Data Project. Ms. Friedman also has in-country education data-collection experience in Ghana, China, and Qatar.
