Dr. Gong currently supports projects that apply economic modeling, data analysis, and programming to real-world policy and program questions. His work includes refining CGE and PE models with responsibilities spanning model calibration, scenario development, and interpretation of results. These projects examine issues such as market behavior, regulatory effects, and system constraints in energy and natural resource contexts.

In parallel, he contributes to CMS-related projects involving data validation, analytic support, and improvements to programming workflows for health policy applications. This work emphasizes accuracy, quality assurance, and the production of reliable outputs for program support.

Across Dr. Gong’s current portfolio, he works closely with interdisciplinary teams to translate technical analysis into clear findings for clients and stakeholders. This combination of modeling, empirical analysis, and applied problem-solving reflects his interest in using rigorous quantitative methods to support practical decision-making.
