Shawn Hirsch is a statistician at RTI with a background in epidemiology and biostatistics. He designs, implements, manages, and analyzes observational studies and multisite randomized clinical trials. Mr. Hirsch is currently involved with several projects spanning a wide range of research topics, including substance and alcohol use disorder, PTSD, HIV/AIDS, cancer, traumatic brain injuries, and environmental health. His statistical skills include sensitivity and specificity calculations; categorical data analysis; linear, logistic, and Poisson regressions; generalized linear models; and survival analysis.

Before joining RTI in 2015, Mr. Hirsch was a statistician and project manager at SciMetrika, where he managed, cleaned, and analyzed complex national data sets for federal clients such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He also led proposal writing efforts, developed and managed budgets, reviewed and finalized contract deliverables, and led all external client meetings.
