RTI’s Research Computing Division Earns ISO 9001 Certification

The prestigious certification was issued following an audit of RCD’s quality management system

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — RTI International, a nonprofit research institute, today announced that its Research Computing Division (RCD) has earned ISO 9001 certification following an audit of its quality management system. RCD serves as RTI’s information technology resource, supporting RTI’s many research areas by providing a full range of computing and technology solutions for client projects.

The ISO 9001 certification follows RCD’s appraisal at level 3 of the CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)® for development (CMMIDev/3) earlier this month.

“This certification is another exciting achievement for the Research Computing Division and RTI more broadly,” said Karen M. Davis, Vice President of RTI’s Research Computing Division. “Clients can be confident that our research areas are supported by industry-leading computing and technology solutions.”

To achieve certification, RCD demonstrated its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and that it aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system.

RCD’s certification was issued by BSI Group America, Inc. ISO standards are overseen by the International Organization for Standardization. To learn more, visit: https://www.iso.org/standards.html.
