RTI International, partners to advance global health priorities in Africa

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — The U.S. Agency for International Development, Bureau for Global Health has selected RTI International to be a prime contractor under the Technical Assistance and Support Contract Four (TASC4)-Africa Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract.

RTI will lead a partnership of 11 organizations to compete for TASC4-Africa task orders, which will improve the health of African populations—especially women, children and other vulnerable peoples.

RTI and its TASC4-Africa partners will combine and leverage their expertise to support priority global health initiatives such as expanding primary health care services to the most poor and vulnerable; increasing sustainability through stronger health systems; improving health metrics, monitoring, and evaluation; and promoting research, development, and innovation, especially in connection with reaching and serving women and girls.

RTI's TASC4-Africa partnership includes: American International Health Alliance, BBC Media Action, DAI Inc., International Medical Corps, Management Systems International, Meridian Group International Inc., African Population and Health Research Center, Brandies University, CAMRIS, East Central and Southern Africa Health Community, Health and Social Sector Analysis, the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Public Health, and Futures Institute.
