Disease Surveillance

Disease surveillance is the ongoing collection, analysis, and interpretation of health data to monitor conditions, detect outbreaks, and support timely public health action. Surveillance systems track trends over time and alert authorities to unusual patterns. RTI designs and evaluates surveillance systems for infectious diseases, chronic conditions, and environmental exposures.
