Linda Dimitropoulos, PhD, is Vice President of the Division of eHealth, Quality and Analytics and Vice President of the RTI Center for Health Care Advancement. She has more than 20 years of experience providing visionary leadership, direction and strategic business development in health services, health care quality, and health information technology (IT). Dr. Dimitropoulos has successfully developed new lines of business and led multimillion-dollar proposals and large, complex projects focused on research and technical services aimed at improving health and healthcare in the United States.
Dr. Dimitropoulos is a recognized leader in health informatics and health IT policy who is frequently called upon to serve on committees, work groups and technical expert panels and to advise curriculum development for colleges and universities. Her areas of interest are on ways to use technology and health information to improve the health and well-being of individuals and communities. Recent work has focused on health information privacy, data governance, interoperability, barriers to meeting meaningful use, health IT and patient safety and the use of health IT and health information exchange to improve Medicaid programs.
