Ivy Estabrooke brings more than 15 years of experience accelerating the development and adoption of emerging technologies. Her professional interests focus on technology commercialization, innovation ecosystem development, and optimizing funding mechanisms to promote novel and useful science. Ivy’s experience equips her to assist clients in the development, implementation, and evaluation of program strategies to meet economic development goals, market needs, and national security challenges.
Prior to joining RTI, Ivy held leadership roles in the public and private sector. Most recently, she led operations and corporate affairs for a venture backed university spin-out in the infectious disease space. She led Utah’s technology based economic development through a pivot, aligning strategy and program design with legislative intent and delivering increased economic impact. As a program officer for the Office of Naval Research, she established a social and computational modeling portfolio that delivered transformative technologies to the Department of Defense, Department of State and the intelligence community.
As a recognized expert in innovation practices, she has been a member of multiple National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine studies, NATO Science and Technology organization studies and workshops, and a speaker on the role of public funding of science.
