Andrew Moore is a research statistician with more than 15 years of experience designing, analyzing, and improving complex survey research studies. He has supported a wide range of federal, state, and academic research initiatives, helping organizations generate reliable, actionable evidence from large and complex datasets. 

At RTI, Mr. Moore serves as a statistical leader on several large-scale studies, including the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) Estimation project, which produces nationally representative estimates of crime based on FBI data. He has also contributed to projects focused on Medicaid outcomes, behavioral health services, public health surveillance, and national demographic and opinion research. Across these efforts, he provides expertise in survey design, estimation, weighting, imputation, and data processing using open-source and statistical software tools. 

Mr. Moore is particularly recognized for his longstanding work supporting major federal data collections. He served for more than a decade on the National Victimization Statistical Support Program and continues to lead statistical activities for the National Survey on Drug Use and Health, one of the nation’s primary sources of information on substance use and related health issues. His work has contributed to methodological advancements, national and state-level estimates, public-use data products, and technical guidance used by policymakers and researchers. 

An active contributor to the survey research community, Mr. Moore has authored and co-authored technical reports, journal articles, and conference presentations on topics including crime victimization measurement, weighting methods, imputation, and survey error reduction. His contributions have been recognized through multiple RTI President’s Awards for excellence in research and program support.
