PREVENT Child Maltreatment–Enhancing National Capacity through Public and Private Partnerships to Stop Child Maltreatment Before It Starts

The article presents information on the Preventing Violence Through Education, Networking and Technical Assistance (PREVENT) intensive team-based action learning program developed and initiated by the University of North Carolina Injury Prevention Research Center in 2003. Several U.S. states and Canada have completed the program with a focus on the issue of child maltreatment.
