U.S. News & World Report Releases 2019-20 Best Children's Hospitals Rankings

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — U.S. News & World Report today released the 2019-20 Best Children's Hospitals rankings of America's top pediatric facilities. RTI International, a nonprofit research institute, collected and analyzed data from children’s hospitals and surveyed thousands of pediatric specialists to help produce the rankings.

The new edition highlights the top 50 centers in each of these 10 pediatric specialties: cancer, cardiology and heart surgery, diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology and GI surgery, neonatology, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulmonology and lung surgery, and urology.

In the 2019-20 rankings, 84 hospitals ranked among the top 50 in at least one specialty. Ten of those hospitals earned a place on the Best Children’s Hospitals 2019-20 Honor Roll by accumulating points for being highly ranked in many specialties. For the sixth consecutive year, Boston Children’s Hospital claimed the top spot on the Honor Roll.

More than 100 pediatric specialists, nurses and other experts provided input on the methodology through working groups.

U.S. News & World Report began the Best Children's Hospitals rankings in 2007 to recognize the best hospital facilities for pediatric patients.
