RTI International Recognized as Family-Friendly Company by Carolina Parent Magazine
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — RTI International has been recognized as one of North Carolina’s 2013 Family-Friendly companies by Carolina Parent magazine for the fifth consecutive year.
Fifty employers were selected for offering family-friendly workplace options and benefits that help employees balance work and family responsibilities.
RTI was recognized for offering benefits such as telecommuting, leave of absence programs and flexible work hours to allow employees to care for children or elderly parents.
Other RTI employee benefits include lactation rooms for working mothers, tuition reimbursements and a wellness program that provides fitness options and flu vaccinations for employees and their family members.
“Offering a family-friendly work environment helps our employees balance their work-life schedules and more fully enjoy their jobs, which helps improve our business,” said Martha Roberts, senior vice president of Human Resources at RTI. “At RTI, we place great value on the well-being of our employees and their families.”

The Carolina Parenting Inc. N.C. Family-Friendly 50 companies of 2013 were selected in partnership with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School. Companies are chosen based on nominations and information provided by the companies about available health benefits, work scheduling options, child care and elder care, family support, family leave and other family-friendly benefits.
