RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — RTI International has been selected as one of North Carolina's 2011 Family-Friendly 50 companies by Carolina Parent magazine.
The 50 employers were recognized for offering family-friendly workplace options and benefits that help employees balance work and family responsibilities.
Among the employee benefits for which RTI was recognized were having an onsite child care facility as well as flexible work hours and lactation rooms for working mothers.
RTI also offers a parent's support group, new-parent leave options, adoption reimbursement assistance, and a wellness program that provides health screenings and flu shots for employees and their family members.

RTI and the other winners will be recognized in the September issue of Carolina Parent, Charlotte Parent . The winners will also be recognized at a special Moms@Work and Women@Work events in Charlotte, Durham and Greensboro.
The Carolina Parenting NC Family-Friendly 50 Companies of 2011 were selected in partnership with UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. Companies are chosen based on nominations and information provided by the companies about available health benefits, work scheduling options, child care and elder care, family support, family leave and other family-friendly benefits.
