RTI International Opens Office in New Delhi

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — RTI International has opened a liaison office in New Delhi as part of an effort to increase RTI's presence in Asia and strengthen collaboration with peer research organizations and academic institutions.

"India's dynamic and rapidly modernizing society make it a natural focus for RTI researchers and global health program specialists," said Wayne Holden, executive vice president of RTI's Social, Statistical and Environmental Sciences Group. "The new office will strengthen our ability to more fully understand the local nuances and emerging issues India is facing, and to participate in addressing these concerns."

The office is in central New Delhi's Paharpur Business Centre, near government ministries and international organizations.

For several years, RTI has been implementing projects in the country focused on maternal and child health, gender-based violence, and chronic disease. The new office location is intended to help better support this ongoing work while identifying new opportunities with government, nonprofit and commercial clients.

RTI has a long-standing commitment to working in India and has completed numerous projects in the areas of women's health, water and sanitation, HIV/AIDS prevention, and tobacco research.
