RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – RTI International and its staff members donated $25,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund for Oklahoma tornado victims.
Shortly after deadly storms passed through Moore, Okla., May 21, RTI offered to match employee contributions to the relief effort.
In response, RTI staff members contributed $10,975, and RTI added $14,025, for a total contribution of $25,000.
RTI president and CEO Wayne Holden presented the donations to representatives from the Central North Carolina chapter of the Red Cross Thursday, June 6.
“Once again, our staff members have risen to the occasion and generously supported those in need,” said Wayne Holden, RTI president and CEO. “We’re proud of them and pleased to support the disaster relief efforts of the American Red Cross.”
The Red Cross is using donations to support wide-ranging relief efforts for those impacted by the deadly tornadoes that damaged Moore and other parts of the state in recent weeks.
