RTI International celebrates grand opening of new office in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates— RTI International celebrated the opening of a new office in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The office is located at the Centre of Excellence for Applied Research & Training (CERT), the commercial, research and training arm of the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), the largest institute of higher education in the UAE.

The new and larger RTI office space on the CERT campus not only furthers RTI’s commitment to the region but strengthens its more than ten-year relationship with HCT/CERT.

RTI opened its first UAE office in Dubai in 2004, and in 2008 consolidated its UAE operations in Abu Dhabi.  As the operational hub for RTI in the Arabian Gulf region, the new office will enable greater support for existing projects and allow RTI to seek additional strategic partnerships.

“Our fruitful relationship with CERT over the past ten years has evolved and grown in a true sense of friendship and partnership, which has greatly contributed to RTI’s success in the UAE,” said Tim Gabel executive vice president of Social, Statistical and Environmental Sciences at RTI. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with HCT and CERT as we enter our next decade in the Arabian Gulf region.”

RTI’s Abu Dhabi operations are carried out by more than twenty technical and administrative personnel.

RTI provides a range of technical services in the region in environmental management, health, education, energy and technology. The RTI Abu Dhabi office works closely with government organizations, universities and research centers in the UAE to address complex issues in the Arabian Gulf region.

“We are very proud to be associated with RTI as it celebrates this milestone,” said Dr. Tayeb Kamali, vice chancellor of HCT and group chief executive of CERT. “We congratulate the whole team on RTI developing such a strong presence in the United Arab Emirates and the region throughout the last ten years, and we wish them further successes in the future.”

The Abu Dhabi office opening event was held Jan. 20 on the CERT campus.
