As a leader in both cutting-edge health research and program implementation, RTI plays a unique role in global efforts to achieve an AIDS-free generation. We conduct rigorous clinical, biomedical, socio-behavioral and implementation research in HIV prevention, treatment, care and structural interventions; key populations at risk for HIV; youth and HIV; and transition/sustainability planning. Our research and evaluation findings inform the U.S. and global response to HIV, while our evidence-based programs and technical assistance support the achievement of UNAIDS 90-90-90 targets for testing, treatment, and viral load suppression.
For more than 25 years, RTI has conducted HIV research in 60+ countries around the world, spanning the United States, sub-Saharan Africa, Central and South Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe. We work with and on behalf of a range of U.S. federal agencies, international health ministries, local governments, donors, foundations, and other clients seeking to control the HIV epidemic globally.
