Substance Use Disorder (SUD)

Substance use disorder is a medical condition characterized by the uncontrolled use of substances despite harmful consequences. It encompasses a spectrum of severity and includes alcohol, opioids, stimulants, and other substances. RTI works across public health, behavioral health, and justice systems to develop evidence-based approaches for prevention, treatment, and recovery support.
