Serious Mental Illness (SMI)
Serious mental illness refers to mental disorders that significantly impair a person's ability to function in daily life. Conditions may include schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depressive disorder with severe impacts. RTI conducts research and provides evaluation services to support programs that improve care and outcomes for individuals with SMI.
