Glossary Term

Qualitative Research

Qualitative research explores human experiences, perceptions, and behaviors using open-ended methods such as interviews, focus groups, observations, and document analysis. Rather than emphasizing numerical measurement, qualitative research provides insight into context, motivations, and meaning. RTI uses qualitative approaches to understand community needs, identify barriers to program success, and explore how people engage with services and interventions.
