Outbreak Investigation

An outbreak investigation is the process of identifying the source, characteristics, and spread of a disease event. It includes verifying cases, analyzing data, forming hypotheses, and implementing control measures. RTI supports outbreak investigations through epidemiologic analysis, fieldwork, and laboratory partnerships.
