Nonresponse Bias

Nonresponse bias occurs when individuals who do not participate in a survey differ in meaningful ways from those who do participate. This difference can affect the accuracy of survey estimates and lead to incorrect conclusions. RTI evaluates and mitigates nonresponse bias through weighting adjustments, follow-up strategies, and methodological research.
