Formative Research

Formative research is conducted before or early in the implementation of a program to inform its design and strategy. It helps identify community needs, target audience characteristics, and potential barriers to participation. RTI uses formative research to refine interventions, guide communication plans, and ensure programs are feasible and culturally appropriate.
