We called and you responded!
As you know, Forethought’s mission is to grow North Carolina’s institutional collaboration and launch the region into another 60 years of innovation. At the onset of this challenge, our goal was to bring together researchers to create impactful solutions that could only be achieved through collaboration from across our region and the results are staggering:
- 136 individual applications representing all partner institutions
- 686 total researchers
This level of interest exceeded our expectations, and we are excited about the impact, creativity, and scalability of these solutions. A successful team will have laid out a convincing vision that demonstrates appreciation of regional priorities and true multi-institutional collaboration – and we’re extremely impressed with the EOIs we received.
The University Research Collaboration Committee is in the process of reviewing all the entries to ensure everyone receives a thorough evaluation and fair chance to advance to the second phase of the competition, which are full, written proposals. Timing for advancement to the second phase and selection process details will be communicated by Memorial Day weekend.
