Verone Bernard is an international affairs professional with more than 10 years of experience researching and designing programs to promote sustainable development. In her current role as Urban Resilience Manager at RTI International, she supports business development, project implementation, learning, and research focused heavily on solid waste management, ocean plastic reduction, urban service delivery, and climate resilience. Previously, she was a Senior Business Development Specialist, and supported the design and development of energy and natural resource management related programs. She has experience working in over 12 countries and specializes in establishing strategic partnerships. 

Ms. Bernard joined RTI in 2019. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the National Capital Chapter of the American Planning Association.
