Rodney Snyder is a senior research chemist at RTI. He has over 30 years of experience in bioanalytical analysis and pharmacokinetics, as well as exposure assessment by DNA/protein-adduct measurement and biomarker determination. Mr. Snyder is an expert at developing hemoglobin and DNA-adduct assays for exposure assessment of high-production chemicals. He uses high-resolution mass spectrometry to characterize the metabolism of chemicals and therapeutic agents and untargeted  analysis of biological samples to determine exposure to emerging and prominent chemicals.

Mr. Snyder’s recently research activities include the untargeted analysis of PFAS in formulations and biological samples to assess exposure and bioaccumulation. Mr. Snyder investigates potential therapeutic compounds and their ability to cross the blood-brain barrier, metabolite identification, and untargeted analysis of combined exposures and mixtures.

In addition to his work, Mr. Snyder is a member of the Society of Toxicology.
