Monica Desjardins is an epidemiologist at RTI. She is an expert in qualitative coding interview transcripts and analyzing large surveys. She provides training and technical assistance to Urban Indian Health Organizations.

Currently, Ms. Desjardins leverages her skills across several projects, including serving as a researcher academy coach for the All of Us Research Program and technical assistance liaison for the RTI Zero Suicide Initiative Coordinating Center. Before joining RTI in 2022, Ms. Desjardins served as a research assistant at the John Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, working closely with Tribal nations in the Southwestern, United States.

 Additionally, she holds several fellowships, including: 

  • Udall Native American Graduate Fellow Tribal Health Policy – Udall Foundation
  • Addition and Overdose Fellow – Bloomberg American Health Initiative
  • Elevating Indigenous Wellbeing through Assets Based Prevention Science – NIH T-32 Fellow
