As a Senior Innovation Advisor and Lead for RTI Innovation Advisors’ Food and Agriculture Practice, Dr. Blume works closely with clients to develop insights and strategies that facilitate innovation in core products and define new white space opportunities. His passion for collaborative innovation has helped companies from across industries develop new products and strategic partnerships.
Over the past decade, Dr. Blume has applied his background in cannabinoid pharmacology towards novel commercial applications. His efforts have enabled growth for emerging cannabinoid technologies, including a multimillion-dollar licensing and development of cannabinoid therapeutics, novel cell lines, viral vectors, and delivery platforms.
In addition to his work, Dr. Blume holds several professional certifications, including altMBA, Innovation in Business & Product Development, Intellectual Property and Research Commercialization, and Product Development & Innovation Processes. He is a member of the Institute of Food Technologies and the International Cannabinoid Research Society.
