Jennifer Cooney is a senior statistician with over 15 years of experience working on large national social science surveys. She leads statistical tasks on surveys in education and leads a team of statisticians and graphical experts on rapid ad hoc analyses.

Ms. Cooney leads the statistical tasks for the Baccalaureate and Beyond Study, a long-running federal longitudinal study of employment outcomes of post-baccalaureate students. She has focused her expertise on sampling, weighting, analysis, data management, and quality control as part of this project. She is also an assistant director for reporting on the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH). As part of her work on NSDUH, Ms. Cooney has helped create protocols for rapid response analyses, as well as automate the production of graphics and alt text for data visualizations. Under her direction, Ms. Cooney’s team of graphic designers and statisticians have been able to produce high quality slide decks for publication quickly and under budget.
