Ivy Mack expert in K-12 education and serves as an education consultant to RTI’s Center for Education Services. She began her career as a special education teacher and counselor in Virginia and North Carolina. While teaching, she earned postgraduate degrees in Counseling and Educational Leadership. During this time, she developed a deep appreciation for multidisciplinary research to improve teaching and learning and facilitate school improvement.

Prior to joining RTI, Ms. Mack completed her Principal Residency in a rural school district before transitioning to a position as a district-level instruction/intervention coach, specializing in establishing tiered systems of support for academics, behavior and social-emotional learning with one of the largest school districts in NC. She has well-rounded experiences with coaching and facilitating professional learning, building capacity of collaborative teams and leading change in the education field. She partners with districts, schools, and teams to facilitate change to improve outcomes for all stakeholders. Ms. Mack’s research interests include creating systems change in learning ecosystems and examining the intersectionality of emotional intelligence and racial and social identity development.
