Heather Farr has more than 30 years of writing and editing experience in the areas of education, health, medicine and clinical studies, environmental science, and business. She has extensive experience with editing and rewriting text written by English language learners. As a Senior Writer and Editor in the Center for Publishing and Production (CPP), she supports global and cross-institute projects and programs that focus on education, public health, energy, and environmental issues and mitigation measures.

Ms. Farr serves as the Lead Editor and Publications Coordinator for several projects in Lebanon, Tanzania, and Cambodia. The projects focus on improving literacy and numeracy skills for students through activities; providing training to improve the knowledge and skills of teachers, thus positively impacting the learning outcomes of the students; and mobilizing community support to encourage participation in activities.

Ms. Farr also serves as an Editor and Publication Coordinator for the Clean Water for Carolina Kids (3CK) program, which is working to identify health hazards (e.g., lead, asbestos) in schools and childcare facilities across North Carolina so these problems can be resolved.
