Charlie Knott leads strategic planning and business development for our Survey Research Division. With more than 30 years of experience in health surveys, he lends technical expertise to projects while building relationships with clients and helping staff members develop their capabilities. He is instrumental in our ability to design data collection and management systems that adhere to regulations such as HIPAA, FedRAMP, FISMA, and the Privacy Act.
Mr. Knott joined RTI in 2014. Previously, he served as director of survey research and data collection at Battelle Memorial Institute. During his extensive career, he has directed and managed numerous public health studies, with a specialty in clinical, environmental, occupational, epidemiological, and exposure assessments data collection and data management. Two highlights of his current work include the AURORA study, a longitudinal study of trauma survivors, and Chronic Overlapping Pain Conditions, an investigation of several debilitating conditions that tend to coexist, especially in women. For these projects, Mr. Knott serves as RTI PI and directs the development of web-based information management systems that allow for innovative data collection while meeting regulatory requirements.
